Public Meeting

On July 28th, 2011 there was a public meeting regarding the proposed downtown improvements master plan.  The meeting started with a walking tour at 6:30 pm in which interested persons could follow and listen to a guided tour of the immediate square and observe some of the existing conditions.  At 7:00 pm, the meeting moved indoors, to the conference center at the Area Education Agency, for a presentation by Daric O'Neal of Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture.    As a result of that meeting, this web site was created to share the information with all interested persons.
