Survey

As was mentioned during the Public Meeting on July 28th, 2011, we have put together a survey for the Downtown Improvements Master Plan. Follow the link below to a web based survey of questions for you, the community of Red Oak, that will be used to enhance time spent at future public meetings and workshops.  Please answer each question as it pertains to Red Oak's Downtown.  While composing your list, think of those components that make a Great Place and how they apply to Red Oak's Downtown.

After answering these questions, we want you to prioritize your list.  To you, where are the three most important issues / concerns?  What are the three biggest things missing?

This will help us to identify things you see as priorities.  When the results of the survey are combined with other community members who participate in the workshops we begin to see the issues that are important to everyone.

In addition, if you are interested in serving on any of the action groups, please make sure you fill out that portion of the survey.

Thanks for participating!

Public Meeting

On July 28th, 2011 there was a public meeting regarding the proposed downtown improvements master plan.  The meeting started with a walking tour at 6:30 pm in which interested persons could follow and listen to a guided tour of the immediate square and observe some of the existing conditions.  At 7:00 pm, the meeting moved indoors, to the conference center at the Area Education Agency, for a presentation by Daric O'Neal of Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture.    As a result of that meeting, this web site was created to share the information with all interested persons. Please make sure you review all of the pages on this site as well as take the time to complete the on line survey and give us your opinion regarding any of the thoughts presented here.
